Dr. Sameer Jejurikar is a board-certified plastic surgeon who practices out of the Dallas, Texas area. In 2012, he won the Compassionate Doctor Certification by Patient’s Choice. This award is determined by the 100 million patients in the United Staes who give information, ratings, and feedback concerning their experiences with the physicians they have been treated by. Only 3% of physicians in the United States were given this recognition during that year. Jejurikar was honored by the experience.
Dr. Jejurikar earned his Bachelor’s of Science and Medical Degree at the University of Michigan and their connected medical school in 1993 and 1997. He graduated as part of the Alpha Omega Honor’s Society and became a resident surgeon at the University of Michigan as well. In 2006, he completed a Fellowship at the Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital in Aesthetic Surgery. From there he went to Scott & White Medical Center as a Senior Staff Surgeon of Plastic Surgery until 2009 where he joined the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute in 2009. He remains there today and is an expert in both knowledgeable in both aesthetic and plastic surgery both for face and body. He has affiliations with several hospitals located in Dallas and the immediate surrounding areas.
Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, he has been published in multiple books and has written many articles as well as having had given many presentations on his field of expertise. He has been featured in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Microsurgery, and more.
Along with helping those in need with his time and skills in his own community, he also volunteers internationally. Each year he takes a trip with Smile Bangladesh to both perform surgery on children with facial deformities and to teach local doctors his expertise on the surgeries.
